6 Using solution projects

Once a solution project has been created, it can be used as a template against which other users can compare their ratings. The user opens the Solution project (files with the extension .sfc), and rates the video as described in Steps 2 and 3 above. When the rating is complete, the user can then compare his or her results with the Solution project. To activate this comparison, the user simply clicks on the binocular icon (upper left above the video screen). Cells surrounded in red indicate discrepancies from the Solution, whereas cells surrounded in green indicate that the user’s mark is identical with the Solution.

When the user moves the cursor over any marked cell, two windows will automatically appear (at the bottom of the screen). These windows will contain the user’s own comments (if any were made) and the Solution comments. Checking the Solution comments will explain to the user how the original rater saw the behavior in question.

To see the exact video segments where a given Solution indicator occurred, the user clicks on the cell and then on the time index (to the left within the Comments windows). e-SOFTA will find the exact point in the video where the behavior occurred. This function that allows to revise the exact video segments where an indicator occurred only works for Solution projects (files with the extension .sfc) and after the Solution mode is activated (clicking on the binocular icon)
